Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones gsldm.com uses, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
01In short
Your choice is remembered in your browser for 12 months. You can change or withdraw it at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or the button in section 5 below.
02What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Cookies are widely used to make websites work (for example, to keep you logged in), to remember preferences, or to measure and track how a site is used. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, pixels, device fingerprinting and other means of storing or reading information on a user's device.
Cookies are usually classified by:
- Origin — first-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by another domain (for example, an embedded service).
- Duration — session cookies are deleted when you close the browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
- Purpose — strictly necessary, preference, analytics or advertising cookies.
03Cookies used on this Site
3.1 Strictly necessary
These do not require consent. The only item in this category is the record of your own cookie choice, which is stored in your browser's local storage (not as a cookie) so that we do not ask you again on every visit.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
gsldm_consent |
GSLDM SL (first party) | Stores whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, and when | Local storage | 12 months |
3.2 Analytics (with your consent)
If you accept, the Site loads Google Analytics 4 (through the Firebase Analytics SDK), which sets the following cookies. They allow us to count visits, see which pages and sections are read, and understand roughly where our audience comes from and which devices it uses.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Assigns a random, pseudonymous client ID used to distinguish visitors and count sessions | Third-party · analytics | 2 years |
_ga_G-GM09DHM3K0 |
Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Maintains session state for this property (session ID, session count) | Third-party · analytics | 2 years |
Google Analytics collects: pages viewed and time on page, the referring website, an approximate location derived from your IP address (Google Analytics 4 does not log or store the IP address itself), browser and device type, language and screen size. We have disabled Google Signals and advertising features, so this data is not used to build advertising profiles or to track you across other websites. We have set the shortest available data retention period for user-level data (2 months); aggregated reports are retained for longer.
The data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd and Google LLC and may be transferred to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's cookie policy, how Google uses data from sites that use Google Analytics, and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
3.3 Categories we do not use
The Site does not use preference, advertising, remarketing or social-media cookies, and does not create user accounts. The contact form sends the information you type directly to our servers when you press "Request information"; it does not store anything in your browser.
04Third-party resources
Although the Site sets no cookies, your browser loads a small number of resources from third-party servers in order to display and run the page. When it does so, the third party receives your IP address and standard request headers (browser type, language, referring page) for the technical purpose of delivering the file. Apart from Google Analytics (with your consent), these providers do not set cookies on gsldm.com.
| Provider | Resource | Privacy information |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts (Google LLC) | Web fonts (Fraunces, IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Firebase (Google Cloud) | Site hosting and the JavaScript SDK that submits the contact form | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) | Analytics script and measurement requests — loaded only after you accept | policies.google.com/privacy |
| cdnjs (Cloudflare, Inc.) | GSAP animation library | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
More information about how we handle the technical data involved is available in section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
05How to control cookies
5.1 On this Site
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics collection and deletes the Google Analytics cookies set for this Site; it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
The same option is available from the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.
5.2 In your browser
You can also control cookies for all websites through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies, and block third-party cookies in particular. Instructions for common browsers:
Blocking all cookies may prevent some websites from working properly. This Site will continue to function normally with cookies disabled, although if your browser also blocks local storage we will not be able to remember your choice and the consent banner will appear on each visit.
06Legal framework
This policy is provided in accordance with Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), which implements Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive), and with the guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) on the use of cookies. Under those rules, cookies that are not strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user may only be used with the user's informed consent.
Accordingly, the analytics cookies described in section 3.2 are set only on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given through the banner by an affirmative action; declining is as easy as accepting, and no cookie is set while the banner is unanswered. In line with AEPD guidance, we keep a record of your choice for a maximum of 12 months, after which we will ask you again.
Where cookies or similar technologies involve the processing of personal data, that processing is also subject to the GDPR and to our Privacy Policy.
07Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change, if our providers change, or if the law requires it. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Any change that introduces a new non-essential cookie or purpose will be accompanied by a fresh request for your consent.
